Allied Services To Unveil First EVAC Sticker Program in Nation

Scranton, PA -- July 21, 2010 -- Allied Services Rehabilitation Hospital (ASRH) has developed a unique way to help Emergency Management Systems (EMS) staff locate and rescue persons with disabilities in the event of a fire, flood, natural disaster, or other event requiring emergency evacuation. As a community service, ASRH developed the EVAC Stickers Program. 2010 Lexus Champions for Charity designated to Allied Services and the John Heinz Pediatric Autism Program and ServicesTicket sales netted $22,000 for Autism Programs

This year's local Lexus-Pebble Beach raffle ticket sales netted $22,000 for Autism programs and the 17th Annual Autism Golf Classic net proceeds totaled nearly $100,000 for Autism programs and services!

Allied Services Social Workers feted at luncheon

National Social Worker Month

The administration of Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center treated its social workers to a luncheon in celebration of National Social Worker Month and the facility’s 30th anniversary. Gift cards and certificates were also presented in recognition of their services. To mark the center’s anniversary, which is Sept. 1, pearls will be given away to employees, residents and visitors during drawings conducted each month. Participants, from left, are Brighid Snedeker, Paula Hammell, Gina Verrastro, June Crisp, Ann Marie Hughes and Mary Kate Gallagher.
